LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - After claiming their second state title this past season, the Lee County Trojans took to the field to see how talented the Trojans are for this upcoming season.
Without the upcoming freshman class on the field the Trojans had 130 hats flying around today.
After signing a school record of 21 seniors to scholarships, the Trojans still look strong heading into this year.
With several key players returning, the Trojans could be ready for a possible three-peat.
“Well we’ve got a lot of kids who worked really hard this off season," said Lee County head football coach Dean Fabrizio. "We’re excited to get out here. We’re excited to see what they can do. We lost a lot of great seniors, 42 off of last years team. But we got some good kids back, and we got a whole lot of young ones who are ready to step up and make a name for themselves.”
“Yeah it’s real exciting" said quarterback Kyle Toole. "We have a whole bunch of youth on this team. Seeing how they mature over the spring and seeing how everyone’s getting better every day.”
The Trojans will hold their spring game on May 17th.
