ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Westover Patriots very own Chastity Pickett has accomplished a lot in her time as a Patriot.
With basketball and track, Picket quickly rose to the top.
But it’s what she accomplished on the track, that’s brought her to signing day.
Tuesday, Pickett announced that track was her calling and signed a scholarship with Campbell University.
Over the years, Pickett has helped the Patriots basketball team to three playoff appearances in four years.
But at the end of the day, Pickett decided to stick with what she loved and hopes to help the Camels.
“I hope to carry everything that my coaches have taught me from day one," said Pickett. "As far as pushing me and telling me that I got this and that I can do better.”
Pickett won a state title last year in the 300 meter hurdles and looks to do it again this weekend in the GHSA track meet.
