ALBANY, GA (WALB) - What police officers thought was a criminal trespassing case turned into a shooting Wednesday in East Albany.
It happened near the 500 block of Bobbit Drive.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Witnesses tell police several shots were fired into a home with two people inside.
Police say damages to the windows, items inside the home, and door will cost more than $800 to replace.
We spoke with one woman who didn’t want to go on camera who said this shooting inspires her to call the police more often.
“I don’t know like five or six shots and we hear shots over here all the time. It’s like every other night it’s a shooting in one area or another and you can hear it. Because I thought it was someone just shooting a gun up in the air. I didn’t think anybody was actually shooting at anybody’s house or anything like that,” she said.
Witnesses also told police that a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee drove into the alley and shot several bullets at the home.
The two people inside the home told police they didn’t know who could be behind this shooting.
