ALBANY, GA (WALB) - On Thursday, the Albany community celebrated the National Day of Prayer in front of the Dougherty County Government Center.
This year’s theme was “Love One Another.”
Coordinator Larry Price said Thursday’s event brought the community together to pray for one another, our nation and the town of Albany.
Price said there were over 120 people in attendance.
“We are a good town, good city, good county and we have so much good that is going on and we don’t want to be defined by the negative that is going on today, but we want to be defined by the positive things. God gives us inspiration to keep on going uphill even in despite of the things that might be deteriorating around us. God has a plan and that is for us to succeed,” said Price.
Price said he also asked the Albany Police Department to be at the event Thursday because of all the recent attacks around the world on religious events.
