ASU ready for SIAC tournament

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State Softball team hasn’t missed a beat this season.

Finishing the regular season at the top of the S-I-A-C and now shifting their attention, towards the conference tournament.

Just like last year, the Rams Softball and Baseball teams have taken the top seeds.

After sweeping Clark-Atlanta over the weekend, the Rams clinched the one seed and are now preparing for a long 3 days.

“It is a little bit of home field advantage, in that we’ll have our crowd behind us," said head softball coach Harley Roller. "It’s nice because it’s not graduation weekend. So, we’ll still have kids on campus to come out and support us, unlike we did last year. But it’s really special to be able to host it and you know, like I said, to be able to be able to reclaim our title and to be able to do that right here in-front of our home crowd.”

The Rams will kick things off on Thursday at 2 P.M. against Kentucky State.
