4-vehicle wreck blocks I-75 SB lanes in Lowndes County

HAHIRA, GA (WALB) - Georgia State Patrol said a wreck involving two cars and two semi trucks has blocked all southbound lanes on I-75 near Exit 29.

One person was extracted from a semi truck.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said the wreck happened around 12:15 a.m. Thursday and is expected to be cleared by 10 a.m.

Valdosta and Lowndes County fire rescue are working to extract a person from a semi truck in a pretty bad wreck on I-75 southbound one mile away from exit 29 (Hahira). In total four vehicles were involved in Georgia State patrol says there are no fatalities at this time. Ashley Bohle WALB Will be bringing you updated information on this crash this morning.

WALB News 10′s Ashley Bohle is at the scene working to learn more information for Today in Georgia.

The wreck happened in the same area where GDOT crews began to demolish the old overpass.

It started at 10 Wednesday night and was set to end at 6 this morning.

As of right now there have not been any fatalities from the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
