VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The City of Valdosta is working with people living in the Devonwood community to help make it safer.
The city said the information booth is the first of its kind.
Not only can you come out to learn more about this neighborhood action association, but you can post your own fliers as well.
The community took part in the ribbon cutting for the new center.
Charles King is a member of the Neighborhood Action Association and he said they’ll use the board to post about meetings.
“Hopefully we can just get everybody to get on board and see that we are trying to change the neighborhood and that it’s going in a good, positive direction. Maybe everybody can just get on board with that and go from there," said King.
The association will also be responsible for maintaining the information center.
For more information on taking the steps to create your own neighborhood association or getting your own information booth, contact your local officials.
