PELHAM, GA (WALB) - Cars, corn hole and raising money, something Pelham city leaders believe will help them enhance their downtown.
The 6th Annual Pelham Main Street Car Show is one fundraiser they do in hopes of accomplishing just that.
Leaders are projecting $5,000 will be raised from the event.
This year, the show will be held on West Railroad Street in downtown.
Around 100 cars are expected to be on display, ranging from vintage to modern.
Main Street Director Alyssa Blakley said that for the first time, there will be corn hole tournaments, both casual and competitive, with a chance to win some money.
“We’re adding these extra events, hoping that it will give the community a little bit more to do at the show, including a kid’s corner," said Blakley.
The car show will be held on April 27, the cars will be on display from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and the corn hole tournament will start at 11 a.m.
Blakely said the overall event is expected to last until about 6 p.m.
