Terrell Academy set to take flight in playoffs

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Terrell Academy baseball team is just one game away from wrapping up their regular season.

Hoping they can carry some momentum with them as they enter the playoffs.

The Eagles have already proven themselves this season.

Holding a firm 10-1 region record, the Eagles have claimed their third region title in a row.

Terrell Academy knows their offense is key, but it’s their mound that’s helped hold their opponents, to just 18 runs all year.

“Strength of the team is probably our pitching," said junior pitcher Garrett Sloan. "We’re pitching really well. Pitching and defending. Our hitting is coming along though.”

“We got a bunch of guys that love each other," said head baseball coach Ashley Walker. "We got a bunch of guys that play for one another and that goes a long way. A lot further then the X’s and O’s sometimes.”

The Eagles will face Southwest Georgia Academy in their last regular season game on Tuesday at 4:30 P.M.
