Dougherty Co. appoints new Assistant County Administrator
Scott Addison was appointed by Dougherty County Administrator, Michael McCoy to become the new assistant County Administrator.

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County has appointed a new assistant county administrator.

Scott Addison, the current Director of Solid Waste Management, will begin his new position on April 29, according to Dougherty County Administrator Michael McCoy.

“I’m delighted to be able to promote Mr. Addison as my Assistant Administrator. He has been a dedicated and hard-working department manager for many years. During his tenure of managing the Solid Waste Department, he consistently demonstrated proficiency in numerous areas, but specifically, in problem solving and management. He’s a welcome addition to our management team and I’m confident he will continue to serve this organization and the community well in his new capacity."

Addison has been the director of solid waste management since 2011.

Under his leadership, he successfully managed the Landfill Gas-to-Energy Project construction and operation with the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB).

“I am excited to transition from Solid Waste Director to this position with the Dougherty County Administrative team,” said Addison. “I look forward to working with County employees, the County Administrator, and Dougherty County Board of Commissioners, to achieve our goals.”
