ASU baseball just 5 games away from SIAC tournament

Rams looking to reclaim SIAC conference title

Rams finish home stand on high note

DAWSON, GA (WALB) - The ASU Baseball team wrapped up their last home series this past weekend.

But is now just 5 games away from finishing out the regular season.

As the Rams finished their last regular season home stand on a high note, the Rams now have a busy week ahead of them.

Especially playing against Spring Hill for a 4 game series to see who will take the top seed.

But head coach Scot Hemmings believes the Rams are in a groove.

And if they play Rams baseball, they’ll take the number 1 seed.

“You know we started out a little slow but I think some of that had to do with the competition we were playing," said Hemmings. "And now, once we got all of our, like I said we had 13 to 14 new players here and once we got half way through the season, we started clicking a little bit better. I challenged the guys last weekend, I told them that we’re still not playing to our capabilities. I pressured them a little bit to make one more step in these final two weeks. Playing a very talented Spring Hill team to see who gets the number one seed overall, and then hopefully get back into the conference tournament and get back to a regional.”

ASU will face Auburn University Montgomery on Tuesday at 4 P.M.
