MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Justin Rogers has been the head coach at Jones County for the past 5 years.
He helped turn that program around and is now trying to help the Packers find yet another state title.
Rogers is coming off a 45-15 record with the Greyhounds.
Hoping that his success can help lead the Packers to their first state title since 2015.
Rogers knows the expectations are high, but that’s why he was thrilled to accept the challenge.
“The biggest thing is just the tradition that’s here. The tradition of winning. How important football is in this community is easily attracted to any coach. I’ve got a passion for football, I love football, I love working with young people. To be able to work with a community that puts so much in to it, and enjoys it and supports it the way they do, was a huge honor to be able to do.”
The Packers will hope to get the ball rolling on the first day of spring practice coming up in May.
