ATLANTA, GA (WTOC) - Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox was taken to the hospital Tuesday after suffering a possible stroke, according to multiple reports. confirmed WSB-TV’s report that Cox remains hospitalized.

Cox is reportedly resting in the hospital after suffering a stroke Tuesday and having surgery.

The 77-year-old Hall of Famer appeared at Monday’s home opener at SunTrust Park

The Athletic’s David O’Brien reports Cox has been seeing visitors on Wednesday, including Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos, who told MLB Network Cox is in as good of spirits as he can be.

Cox attended the Atlanta Braves’ home opener versus the Chicago Cubs on Monday night.

He served as the Braves manager from 1978-81, and again from 1990-2010. Serving at the helm of one of baseball’s most consistent organizations.
