CRISP CO., GA (WALB) - A sheriff in southwest Georgia is challenging one of our very own. Our news team caught up with Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock, who says he wants to anchor the news at WALB.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Hey Jim, I want your job, I wanna be that guy that’s at 6 o’clock at night saying welcome to WALB and here’s the lead news story for Albany and surrounding areas,” said Hancock. “So when you get ready to retire, let me know, because I’m gonna change my profession and I’m gonna start doing the news at WALB.”
Jim said he thinks they can work out a deal because he’s always wanted a car with blue lights and sirens.
