ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Westover’s 18 year streak of making the GHSA state playoffs looked to be in jeopardy when they started the season with 4 straight losses.

It wasnt.

The Patriots are gearing up for their 19th straight appearance in the postseason.

This year they’re behind the 8-ball.

Westover finished 4th in the region tournament.

The road to the title game in Macon will be mostly on the road for the Patriots.

It starts with Woodward Academy--a tough 1-seed out of College Park.

While the patriots are on a 2-game skid, the War Eagles are on an 8-game win streak and will be at home.

“Woodward Academy has a great team. They have a kid that’s a 7 footer that’s already committed to Duke. But I think if we play well together, and as we’ve been doing lately, we’ll have a good chance," said head coach Dallis Smith.

Westover tips at Woodward Academy Saturday at 6 p.m.
