Wilcox Co. man arrested for drugs, firearms during traffic stop

WILCOX CO., GA (WALB) - The Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man that was found with several grams of methamphetamine and two stolen firearms Tuesday night.

Monterrius Digby, 33, was stopped on Highway 215 South at the intersection of Owensboro Road, according to the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Rodgers said Digby, who was on parole, was driving without a license.

Digby talked to the sheriff but eventually ran away from the scene.

Back up deputies arrived and after a search, Digby was arrested.

Officers seized 19 grams of methamphetamine and two firearms, with one being stolen from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Digby has been charged with:

  • 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon 
  • Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute 
  • Theft by receiving stolen property 
  • Obstruction of an officer 

Digby is being held in the Wilcox County Jail without bond.
