VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Valdosta Police Department is investigating a report of a possible armed robbery.
Officers said that it happened Saturday around midnight, near the corner of Wisenbaker and Dasher Lane.
The victim is from Thomasville and alleges that two males jumped him and stole about $250 and his watch.
Afterwards, investigators said he walked to a business in the 500 block of South Patterson Street where he called police.
One neighborhood resident said she finds it hard to believe that anybody even got robbed.
“I know everybody. Ain’t nobody bothering nobody. We all get along. Everybody have their little arguments and stuff, ups and downs, you know everybody is going to have their ups and downs. When it comes all the way down to the nitty gritty, we all still talk, we laugh and have fun," said resident Pam Jones.
Police said they are a little unclear on the exact details because the victim was intoxicated, but they believe this to have been an isolated incident.
Police said the victim didn’t have any major injuries and there is no word on any suspects at this time.
