ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You can help support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany this February by shopping at Ross Dress for Less.
Ross has been a long-time partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
All the money that is raised will go straight to the club to help benefit young adults through the local clubs.
Marvin Laster, the CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany, said that Ross has decided this year to match everyone’s donations.
“$1 becomes two, three becomes six and five becomes ten. That goes a long way. We are just hoping as people go out and shop for necessities that they will find it in their hearts to actually make a donation," said Laster.
Ross Dress for Less is located at 2800 Old Dawson Road in Albany.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany also wants to make sure all parents and young adults know about the resources they provide.
The club wants to make sure that the community knows that they have a safe, positive environment for all young people.
Laster said the club does not turn anyone away due to their inability to pay. He said he wants to make sure that all students know, that no matter their circumstances, they can do great things for their futures.
“We surround young people with caring, positive adults who are genially concerned about them and their well being. And I am honored each day to work alongside, shoulder to shoulder with them and to help bring about transformational change for not only their lives, but for this entire community," said Laster.
Laster said that making sure young adults know their full potential is important to him and the Boys & Girls Club of Albany.
