MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Moultrie city leaders are finding new ways to boost their economy and make it a desirable place for new business.
For the first time, city officials and local businesses are hosting a Small Business Expo.
City leaders said it’s open to the public and anyone looking to open a business in Moultrie is encouraged to attend.
City Council Member Cornelius Ponder said small businesses create stability for the community.
Ponder said you’ll have the opportunity to get advice from local businesses owners to make sure you’re successful.
“We want to give them help, give them a blueprint and road map of how to get it done, and how to get it done effectively. And also to help prepare so that their business will be successful," explained Ponder.
The event will be this Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ryce Community Center.
Ponder said those wanting to expand their business are welcome to attend.
