CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - A woman and a Georgia State Patrol (GSP) trooper were injured in a vehicle crash in Camilla on Tuesday, according to GSP.
The crash happened on Highway 300, north of Camilla around 7:15 a.m.
GSP said Florence McCullough, 61, was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with a head injury, while Trooper Jamill Curry suffered pain in his left wrist. Troopers said Curry did not have any broken bones.
Troopers said Curry was turning on Highway 19 at PFC Road around 7:15 a.m. for a traffic stop when McCullough pulled out from PFC Road into the trooper’s path, causing the collision.
Investigators said the sun may have played a factor in the cause of the crash, so they will only issue a warning to McCullough.
