Albany Family in Need

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - One Albany woman said she is still without a home after losing her two children, a nephew and her grandmother at their home at the Albany Dunes Mobile Home Park almost two months ago.

Brandy Wilson said that since the fatal fire, she and her three surviving children have been sleeping on someone’s living room floor while searching for a new home.

Wilson, who is three months pregnant, said while waiting on assistance from the Albany Housing Authority, she is seeking any guidance from the community on what to do next.

“If they can help by any means, even if you have to call me or I have to meet you, or you have to text me, I’m thankful. I really need every help I can,” said Wilson.

Representatives with the Albany Housing Authority said a final decision concerning Wilson’s housing has yet to be determined, but she will be notified of all options once that is determined.

Wilson said people have offered to donate clothing items, but now she needs a place to put them.
