TIFTON, GA (WALB) - If you feel like you’ve been a victim of harassment on the job experts say there are steps you can take to protect yourself.
WALB caught up with workers at Labor Finders in Tifton. They say if you find yourself in an uncomfortable or threatening work environment, try to talk to your supervisor or follow the chain of command.
If it’s your supervisor that’s responsible for the harassment, they advise that you go to Human Resources.
“Whether it’s reassigning either the victim or the perpetrator or disciplinary action it needs to be addressed immediately,” said Anthony Giudicy, President of Giudicy Inc.
Labor Finders says there are smaller companies that don’t have a Human Resources department. They say in those cases it’s best to talk with the owner or supervisor of the company.
