ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Lily Pad in Albany said one of their new goals for 2019 is to be ready at any time to help sexual assault victims.
Mary Martinez, Lily Pad executive director, said her main goal for the facility this year is staying open 24/7 for the community.
Staying open around the clock is costly and can be tiring, Martinez pointed out, but it is important for the community they are always there.
“We want to keep our doors open 24/7 be available for the community at any time and also to be the most credible SANE center in Southwest Georgia," Martinez said.
SANE stands for sexual assault nurse examiner.
Martinez said all the services offered at the Lily Pad are free.
