SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - The Con-Agra Food facility on Seabrook Drive in Sylvester caught on fire about mid-day Friday, according to Worth Co. fire officials.
Around 3:30 p.m., a Con-Agra spokesman said that everyone was safe, the fire had been contained and they shut down the plant for safety reasons.
Interim Sylvester City Manager Jack Colby said the fire started in the roaster and did not spread to the building.
Peter Pan peanut butter is made at this plant, and is distributed nation wide.
