On tonight's Most Wanted, an Albany gang leader who's been busy teaching wannabe gang members how to rob convenience stores.
This is 29-year-old Zayet Jerome Nelson. Police tell me he's one of the leaders of the Bloods in Albany.
They say he was behind that string of holdups in Albany and Leesburg last week. In fact, police tell me the four robberies last Wednesday night were part of gang initiation and Nelson was overheard coaching the three younger gang members on how to carry out the robberies.
Now there's bad and there's evil and I think Mr. Nelson is just evil, helping corrupt other youngsters in our community, and he needs to go to jail.
He's 6' tall, weighs 200 pounds, and is covered with tattoos, many of which have gang significance.
He has two doves tattooed on his back, "Zayet Rudeboy" on his right arm, a star and crescent moon and Zippy the Riddler on his chest, a panther on his left arm, and "Peace" on both sides of his neck.
I think if you see him, you'll know it. My hope is that if you see him, you'll call police. He needs to be off the streets.
There are two aggravated assault warrants on him here in Albany because, police tell us, he's the guy who tried to steal a nail gun from Lowe's in January and pulled a box cutter on an employee who tried to stop him.
Police say he even tried to run over the employee as he drove off.
So, Mr. Nelson is dangerous in his own right, and he's also dangerous because he's grooming other children to become criminals.
Please, if you know where this dangerous gangster is, do yourself and your family a favor and turn him in. You can remain anonymous.
