Don't throw it out!

Effective February 17, 2009, all television signals will go from analog to digital. If you do not have a digital television set or converter box, your television will not be able to recive the signal.

Don't send your old television to the landfill! The average picture tube contains four pounds of lead, which severly pollutes the environment.

Bring your old television and other electronics to Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful to be recycled FREE OF CHARGE February 21 from 9 am until 1 pm, in the back parking lot of the Civic Center.

Sponsored by The City of Albany & Dougherty County Items that will be accepted include: Computer Monitors & CPU's, Laptops, Printers, Disk Drives, Floppy Drives, Cameras (including digital), Record Players, Speakers, UPS/Battery Back-up, Test & Networking Equipment, Televisions, Computer Mouse, Stereos, Copiers, Video Machines, VCR's, Camcorders, Keyboards, Scanners, Electrical Panels, Fax Machines, Cables, Microwave Ovens, Telephones, CB Radios, Modems, Circuit Boards, Typewriters, CD ROM's, Projectors.

Items that will NOT be accepted include: Vacuum Cleaners, Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Freezers, Gas Powered Equipment and all Non-Electronic Equipment.
