We awoke to tragic news the morning after Thanksgiving.
Frenzied shoppers in Long Island, New York, crushed a Walmart employee to death in their rush to get inside the store.
A crowd of more than two thousand people gathered outside that store overnight, and as the employee attempted to unlock the store doors, they stampeded.
He was crushed by the falling door.
Unbelievably, the shoppers stepped over the dead man's body to scramble down the aisles of the store in search of bargains.
They didn't even stop to see if they could help the man.
Hold on.What's wrong with people?
Since when did the desire to get our hands on bargains become more important than human life?
Tough economic times are no excuse. There's nothing in a Walmart store or any store for that matter, worth killing someone over.
It's time to wake up people. Don't let greed blind you.
Nothing is more important than a human life. Let this tragedy serve as a reminder to that.
