BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - A deadly car accident happened in Bainbridge early this morning. Six men were traveling North on Highway 253 in Bainbridge when the driver hit a deer.

He lost control of his vehicle, swerved off the road, and hit a tree head on. One passenger was partially ejected and died at the scene.

One of the other men had to be cut out of the truck.

"There were three that were in the back of the truck, in a seat that was put in, along with the camper shell, and the three up front. They all went to the hospital," says Trooper Keith Butterworth.

The six men were Hispanic. Troopers are still working to confirm the identity name of the man who died. One of the other victims is in surgery tonight and in critical condition.
