WALB's Most Wanted: Keon Rivers

August 19, 2008

An Albany teenager who remains just one step ahead of police.

This is 19-year-old Keon Rivers. Dougherty County Police say that twice, he has stolen from a scrap metal yard on Newton Road.

On July 29th, an oxygen tank, a propane tank and other items were stolen. Then two days later, police say he hit again. That time, made off with a pickup truck load of car starters, copper piping and a radiator.

He almost got caught while unloading the hot items at his brother's house on Collins Street in East Albany. But he ran off.

This photo is from October 2007 when he was arrested on battery charges.

And that was his third trip to jail. He was previously arrested for simple battery and deposit account fraud. When he's not in jail, his address is 2017 Country Side Village, Lot # 26. That's a mobile home park on Oakridge Drive.

If you know him or know where police can find him call Albany Crimestoppers at 229-436-TIPS, or you can call Dougherty County Police at 430-6600. You don't have to give your name and you could get a reward of up to one thousand dollars.
