Tuesday, Georgia voters will return to the polls to choose winners in runoff races.
In addition to the statewide Democratic Senatorial runoff, there are local runoffs in 14 South Georgia counties.
You can vote in the runoff, even if you didn't vote in the primary. And, if you voted in the primary, you can also vote in the runoff; but you have to vote with the same party you voted for the primary.
Also, if you live in Senate District 13, represented by Joe Carter, there's a special election on your ballot.
Voter turnout in the primary was dismal. Let's do better this time.
We encourage all of you who are registered to vote, to go to the polls and cast a ballot.
Democracy is what makes this nation so great; let's not take it for granted. Let's seize the opportunity that our forefathers provided for us.
Remember, polls are open from 7 am until 7 pm.
Voting is not only your right, it's your responsibility.
