TJCC fire was deliberate

October 31, 2007

Albany -- A fire at a Turner Job Corps building Tuesday is being investigated as an arson.

Firefighters say the fire was in the men's bathroom of the academic building at Turner Job Corps, and was deliberately set. A plastic paper towel dispenser and a trash can was set on fire about 2:45 Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters say smoke from the fire did an estimated ten thousand dollars damage.

Turner Job Corps officials say they are investigating, but have not identified anyone for starting the fire.
