Note: The Southwest Incident Management Team has taken over management of the Big Turnaround and Bugaboo Scrub Fires. These fires will now be shown on the Joint Information Center updates as the Big Turnaround Complex.

Sweat Farm Wildfire
Late afternoon and overnight reburn within the perimeter of the fire smoked in Waycross this morning. The smoke should clear as the temperature increases and inversion lifts. Fire activity and behavior is forecast to be intense today as relative humidity's will be in the teens near the fire this afternoon.

Big Turnaround Complex Wildfire
If weather permits, fire crews may initiate a multi-day burnout operation in the area of Chesser Island and Coward Lake within the Refuge boundary. Expect to see heavy smoke on the east side of the fire, especially near St. George. The purpose of this burnout is to further secure the east side of the fire's perimeter by burning the area between the current active fire and the control line under known conditions.

Florida Bugaboo Wildfire
Fire crews continue to improve containment lines and do the all-important mop-up work within the fire's interior. Firefighters remain in place to protect structures if needed. Area residents are urged to be extremely careful with anything that could cause a fire.

The Osceola National Forest is closed north of I-10 (reference Closure Order no. 2007-0401).

Today's Fire Weather
Red Flag Warning for low humidity continues in effect. Dry air will continue to persist over the area today.
Onshore winds across the east coast should keep relative humidity values above critical levels most of the
day. Inland locations will experience periods of relative humidity around 20 percent for several hours.
