We have been overwhelmed with your comments, calls, e-mails and letters about our news and weather coverage, during our area's deadly tornados, affecting much of South Georgia.
Here are just a couple of your responses--
"I commend you and your staff for an excellent job covering the tornadoes. When the tornadoes went through South Georgia, we trusted WALB to give us accurate and honest news. Dawn, Yolanda, and Ben did and excellent job. Their Professionalism and calm demeanor was exactly what we needed. You hung in there until I went to sleep at 1:00AM"
"Even before the tornado hit, I turned to WALB's coverage of the severe weather headed our way. Yolanda was my lifeline when she said the storm would be there in 15 minutes. I had enough time to get to a safe place and protect my family. I thank you for getting me and my family through one of the toughest times of my life."
Thank you again South Georgia, it's a pleasure to serve you, and we'll be here when you need us.
