Valdosta -- Valdosta Public Works employees lend their hands in the Americus tornado cleanup. FEMA contacted Valdosta's Public Works Department, and the city sent two trucks and four employees to Americus to help clean up debris.

The four-man crew helped clear 26 yards of trash. "Everybody that saw us and knew that we were from Valdosta, everybody shook our hand and said they appreciated us and took care of us like we were one of their own," said Brandon Corbitt.

The City Valdosta will send more trucks and a larger crew this weekend.
