Americus -- Americus is a tree city, but a lot of those trees were damaged in Thursday's F-3 tornado.
Tuesday crews continued to clear many of those trees that fell in the business community. Melvin Crooks spent 11 months helping clean up from Katrina and has been helping his home town since Friday clear many of the fallen trees.
"I never thought it would happen here certainly not around this neighborhood, I think everybody needs to see something like this to thank the man upstairs," said Melvin Crook.
The Georgia Forestry Commission reminds the public that tree and debris clean up can be dangerous. If you need assistance you can contact the Forestry Commission at 1-800-GA Trees.
