Studebaker Club makes Sheriff's Boys' Ranch donation

January 12, 2007

Hahira -- Move over patrol cars-- some classic wheels will be rolling in to the Sheriff's Boys Ranch in Hahira.

The South Georgia Studebaker Drivers Club will be allowing the ranch visitors to climb behind the wheel of these classic cars this Saturday.

Starting a noon, club members will prepare lunch for all ranch goers before presenting the ranch a check to initiate more programs for the kids.

"We want to help people out," says Joel Daniel, President of the South GA. Studebaker Club.

Club VP Loren Hendley of Ocilla agrees.  "We want to make people aware of the boys and girls that are here.  That there's good being done.  And the money here goes to what you intend it to go towards, and not something else.  And that's why we do what we do."

Studebaker automobiles have not been built since 1966, but a nationwide group of enthusiasts keeps thousands of the cars and truck on the road.
