Atlanta- Thirty nine people who sued the Atlanta Olympics for inadequate security the night a deadly bomb exploded have settled their lawsuit. One plaintiff resolved her claims last year, while remaining plaintiffs resolved their suit more recently.
The settlement comes just shy of the ten year anniversary of the July 27th, 1996 bombing at Centennial Olympic Park.
Albany native, Alice Hawthorne was killed and 111 others were injured. Alice's husband John Hawthorne was not part of the most recent settlement. Hawthorne filed a civil suit against accused bomber Eric Rudolph. He says that lawsuit remains in limbo.
