ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A new fall festival is coming to downtown Albany.
The Albany Museum of Art is bringing "Chalkfest: Home Grown" to Pine Avenue downtown.
The festival will feature 12 chalk artists who will create Georgia-related images on the street.
The Albany Museum of Art Chalkfest Chair Mallory Black said this is a new type of event for our area.
"So this event is something I don't think has really touched Southwest Georgia. So, we wanted to have an event that is fun for the whole family. We'll have the art and the culture piece of it, we'll have craft beer as well as bring in the Georgia grown food vendors," said Black.
The event will be September 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday.
