DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

Coffee County officials are saying the numbers of prosecutions have gone up thanks to people investing in home surveillance systems.

This video was posted to the Coffee County Sheriff's Facebook Page yesterday.

You see 20-year-old Dalton Culbreth taking a package of clothes worth $200 from someone's front porch.

The victims posted the video on Facebook and officials said that was a big part of solving this case.

"In turn, our numbers have gone down in our thefts, and in our burglaries, because of our prosecution numbers going up. Believe it or not, for people to invest this money," said Chris Elrod, the Patrol Captian with the Coffee County Sheriff's office.

The patrol captain also said though this was a misdemeanor they take these cases very seriously.

Culbreth now faces charges of theft by taking.
