ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Sherwood Christian Academy welcomed back 400 students on Friday. And this year students will become a little more tech savvy!
This year there is a focus on technology, making sure students have a strong digital foundation.
The academy has a new technology director, a film making class, and updated WiFi.
Soon the campus will have 150 computers across campus.
This will help with online class dual enrollment.
"We want this to become part of the DNA of our learning culture because that's the 21st century. That's where our kids are, especially as we prepare them as a college prep school for college," explained Brian Dougherty, SCA Headmaster, "They are going to need that experience now. So it's going to prepare them for their future."
The headmaster also says there's a 3D printer to help teach kids about computer science.
