SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - All students in Worth County go back to school Monday, with a new clear book bag policy.

Over the summer, the Worth County School System decided to implement the policy only allowing clear book bags in schools for grades Pre-K through 12.

Thursday, the Sylvester Housing Authority hosted a back-pack giveaway to help parents out with the new requirement.

Executive Director Michael Allen said his staff wanted to help ease the stress of going back to school.

"This will help the kids overcome the obstacles of beginning the new year, by supplying them with these book sacks and school supplies," said Allen.

It was the Sylvester Housing Authority's second annual back to school bash.

Staff members prepared 240 book bags to give away.
