ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two suspects in an early morning homicide in East Albany have been denied bond in the Dougherty County Magistrate Court.

Dontavious Wingfield, 26, had his first appearance in front of Judge John Stephenson around 8:20 Friday morning.

Wingfield is charged with murder, aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude, and possession of marijuana, less than an ounce.

According to the bailiff, Demond Wingfield, 19, had his first appearance Thursday afternoon, and was also denied bond for felony murder.

APD arrested them during a felony stop at Pointe North and Dawson Road near the Homerun Foods on Wednesday night.

Police say these cousins are suspected of killing Che'valier Paul, 45, from Dothan, Alabama while he was making a delivery on Mercedes Street.

Both Wingfield cousins are being held at the Dougherty County Jail.
