ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Area YMCA has a new way for you to get in shape this summer.
You can keep cool and stay fit by practicing stand up paddle board yoga in the YMCA's Sports Park pool.
The yoga instructors say the class is innovative, which makes working out fun for those who join in.
"It challenges your balance. It makes different muscles work. The simplest movements, even a lunge, can be very challenging on a board. You have to be soft and able to flow with the board on the water," said Donnette Lewis Kline, the Health and Wellness Instructor at the Albany Area YMCA.
The classes are open for those 12 years old and older.
They run until Labor Day and are free for members.
You can register at the YMCA.
