THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The Republican gubernatorial candidates are traveling across Georgia, campaigning for the Republican runoff election at the end of the month.
Brian Kemp stopped in Southwest Georgia Wednesday.
His stops included Albany, Cairo, Thomasville, Moultrie, Adel and Valdosta.
In Thomasville, Kemp talked about the upcoming election and two Georgias.
"A lot of the communities in Southwest Georgia need that kind of investment to understand that from a government perspective but also from the private sector side. And I want people in this part of the world to know that. I think it will resonate with them," said Kemp.
The Republican runoff election is coming up on July 24 between Kemp and Casey Cagle.
The winner will go on to face Stacey Abrams in the election for governor in November.
