ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Lea Henry has been sharing her knowledge of basketball in Albany for the past 34 years.
Knowledge she received from her years at the University of Tennessee and the Olympics.
It's the camp of champs!
In the past, campers have come from all over to receive coaching advise from Henry.
Close to 130 young athletes between the ages of 5 and 18, have made this year no different.
Henry said her favorite part about this camp is that she sees a lot of her coaches, who use to be campers, come back and now give those kids the same experience they received.
Henry wants to make sure the kids learn the fundamentals of basketball, along with other lessons.
"There learning other valuable lessons too," said Henry. "How to work together as a team, how to treat each other. How to handle competition, when you lose. So, there's a lot lessons being taught outside of just basketball. But the key is that they have a good time."
Henry will have another camp beginning July 16th.
They except walk-ins so feel free to come join the fun at Deerfield-Winsdor.
