BACONTON, GA (WALB) - The Baconton Blazers Football team has had a rough few years in the past, up until last season.
Much of the reason for the Blazers new found success is because of head coach Randy Grace.
Grace and the Blazers were hard at work Tuesday coming off that dead week.
The Blazers had a quick turn around last season after going 3 - 7 and tieing the school record for most wins in a season.
Grace has made it clear that this team is looking for a lot more this season.
He has big plans for this team, and he said he can see that this team and community are buying in.
"We are proud of what we have and who we are," said Grace. "But these kids have really bought in and they believe in each other. That's what's going to be our key factor this year is continuing to jell together and continuing to move forward and building on what we did last year."
The Blazers will get their chance to show what they have this year starting at Pataula Charter Academy on Augusta 17.
