South GA church group stuck in Haiti because of riots returns to U.S.

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Missionaries from GracePointe Church returned to the United States Tuesday.

The church mission group was stuck in Haiti after riots against a fuel price hike imposed by the country's government caused flights to be canceled.

Pastor Chris Watson told WALB the group got a flight out of the country Tuesday morning.

The group landed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida Tuesday afternoon and are taking buses back to Douglas.
