COFFEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Coffee County Sheriff's investigators have charged a woman with murder in connection to the death of a toddler that occurred earlier this year.

Amanda Coleman, 34, is charged with felony murder and cruelty to children.

On March 6, deputies responded to Coleman's residence in reference to Brooklynn Aldridge, 2, not breathing.

The family of Brooklynn is still mourning, but spoke to WALB about her and how much they loved her.

"She was a beautiful child. I mean we were all blessed to have her. She was young and full of energy," said Jimmy Taylor, Brooklynn's uncle.

Coleman was taken into custody Monday afternoon and transported to the Coffee County Jail.
