ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A new Chick-fil-A broke ground in Northwest Albany Monday morning.
Even though it will be less than one mile from the other two locations, the drive-thru and the Albany Mall, this location will begin construction next week.
Officials said the new restaurant will be the latest full-service Chick-fil-A design, much like the restaurant in Leesburg, with a child play center and outdoor and indoor dining.
"We will have an indoor dining room and an indoor playground and still have the drive-thru where customers can come through in their cars if they choose not to get out," said Human Resources Director Anna Wari.
Wari said they wanted to open the new facility because the demand is there and they want to keep up with the demand.
