It's said that hard work and perseverance can over come anything.
For Tynshisha McFarland, she's living proof of that.
Friday McFarland signed and announced that she will be continue her education and track career at Life University in Marietta, GA.
Something she was told might not be possible after suffering a knee injury during her Senior basketball season.
She was told she wouldn't be able to play again.
Obviously McFarland didn't take this lying down.
She put in the work and is now headed to continue her career at Life University for the long jump and triple jump.
She walked through the halls with her friends and family as she remembered the good times she had at Lee County, but is excited for the future.
"This is a great day," said McFarland. "This is a great day to cherish. It's always a great time to be with friends and family. To be able to have your support system behind you and be ready to go."
